Rusta is now investing in our Packaging development with a Packaging Manager based in Shenzhen and with responsibility for creating the packaging solutions for our electronics, lighting, home appliances etc. The person who will join the team will have the chance to start a career in a fast-growing Swedish company with many potentials/challenges ahead.

The main responsibilities include:

-Together with Sourcing and Quality Developers create packaging solutions that are cost efficient through the supply chain
- Construct cost efficient packaging solutions
- Secure that all packaging solutions leaving our Suppliers factories fulfils Rusta’s packaging requirements
- Be supportive to colleagues in packaging related questions and ensure a high understanding of RSM appendix G
- Optimise the packaging solutions so that they enable a high filling rate in containers, on EUR-pallets and in store shelves
- Decrease handling damages with 20% per year
- Involve Sourcing and Quality Developers, Quality Inspectors and Suppliers in continuous packaging improvements based on customer/store input and inspection findings
- Implement sustainable corrective actions on packaging solutions that have been released by our Suppliers but blocked in warehouse or stores
At Supplier visits, support to ensure that the Rusta Code of Conduct is fulfilled

In this role you will travel in China, Asia and Sweden.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the packaging development work in Rusta Hangzhou & Shenzhen offices
Reduce handling damages through the supply chain with more than 20% per year
Hand’s on packaging development
Packaging material knowledge about capacity, price and areas of use
Lead and steer the work with continuous packaging improvements
Involve Rusta colleagues in packaging developments
Offer packaging and marking support to sourcing teams and suppliers in Asia




YOUR PROFILE

To be successful in the role the following characteristics are important:

- Relevant academic degree
- Five years working experience from similar roles, this could include packaging construction/design, hand’s on packaging development at international retailers
- Passionate and educated about the packaging materials and a curious mindset to learn more
Professional business English language skills is required
